GETTING THERE
Portugal is accessible by flying or saling, so once you have decided which method of travel you prefer, we would advise you to liase with the property owner or agent to see which airport or port is best to use.
Quite often home owners travelling to and from Portugal sail to Santanter or Bilbao in northern Spain. To drive down to central Portugal (Coimbra region) it takes on average 7 - 8 hours.

Airways:
Ryanair - If you are in the North this is the only airway that fly direct to Porto. Flights for Porto are from Liverpool, Birmingham or Bristol in the summer months.
Easyjet - Fly direct to Lisbon from Liverpool in the summer months

If you are visiting the Central Portugal region you will probably need a car to get about, although the rail networks are very good and very cheap. Buses and local taxis are readily available in the towns and cities.
If you are flying to Central Portugal it is reccommended that you hire a car from the Airport.
