CLIMATE
Due to the balance of the Mediterranean sun and the sometimes rainy climate you can expect to find any thing from tropical fruit trees to apple trees. Most commonly found are pomegranate, fig, olive, apple, orange and lime trees. Also there are kiwi and grape vines.
There is still a summer and winter in central Portugal with the temperature normally sitting about 10 degrees above the average temperature in England. You can expect the summer months to be as hot as the Algarve although it tends to cool down enough to sleep comfortably at night. The winter months maybe a few degrees lower than the Algarve but the main difference is the level of rainfall.
